Buland Darwaza symbolizes the the victory of Akbar over the King of Khandesh in the year 1573. The height of Buland Darwaza is 175 feet and id one of the tallest standing Mughal monument in Fatehpur Sikri. This building was built in red sandstone and their tall height of the building makes the whole appearance of the building grand and mighty. However, in between the red sandstone, there are beautiful intricate designs of white marble. To make things all the more beautiful, the Koran has been inscribed on the walls in Calligraphic scriptures.
